Spring is in full swing, and Stoneridge Creek is as beautiful and vibrant as ever. Our community has been buzzing with all kinds of things to do, from a “hillbilly sophistication” single ladies’ dinner, to a wildlife safari excursion, to a performance by a young piano prodigy.
Do you want to join in on all the fun we’re having and see our community in full bloom? Check out our May Activities Calendar and reach out to your Residency Counselor if you’d like to attend an event, activity or lecture. Until then, make sure to read on for more updates on our community, information about our online lectures, and a downsizing video I think you’ll find insightful.
Lastly, I’d like to wish all mothers and grandmothers a very happy Mother’s Day. Our residents will celebrate the occasion with a delectable brunch shared with great friends; I hope you and yours have a special day planned for all the mothers in your lives as well.

In this memoir of exhilarating joy and love, Rebecca shares how her grandmother’s life of joy, resilience, compassion, and boundless love has become a model for generations to follow. In this presentation, Rebecca will share the lessons she learned from the life of her very own Grandarling, as well as insights into the memoir-writing process.

Randy Sabado will share insight on Chinese immigration to the Monterey Bay area in the mid-1800s through the family history of his late wife, Gerry Low-Sabado. Gerry’s family ultimately helped begin the commercial fishing industry in Monterey Bay, leaving behind a story of challenges, perseverance and ultimate triumph. Randy is honored to continue telling her story.
