A two-year expansion project at Stoneridge Creek senior living community is almost finished, and expected to be fully completed in the spring of 2018. The final phase of the community, located at 3300 Stoneridge Creek Way in Pleasanton, includes the addition of 12 villas (single story homes), 56 Garden Terrace homes and 83 apartment homes, as well as various new amenities and outdoor features. Many of the new residences are now open.

The expansion aims to meet the growing demand for senior living options in the area. Currently, more than 200,000 Alameda County residents are already age 65 or older, and that number is expected to grow substantially within the next 10 years with the aging of Baby Boomers.

“There is such a growing need for all these services in Pleasanton and throughout the Bay Area,” said Zeke Griffin, executive director for Stoneridge Creek. “Excitement is certainly building as construction progresses on the new residences. We have had a great deal of interest from area seniors and their family members, with inquiries coming in daily as the final phase continues to take shape. Many seniors who have already made the decision to move into Stoneridge Creek when the new homes are ready are influential in the community and want to stay connected to the area.”

Stoneridge Creek opened its doors in 2013 to much demand. The 50-acre campus is currently home to more than 450 seniors. The CreekView health center is located adjacent to Stoneridge Creek. It offers residents access to long-term care services, if ever needed.

Stoneridge Creek residents enjoy the services and amenities of the community, including a movie theater, dog park, putting green, bocce ball court, indoor swimming pool, fitness center and spa, and business center. Along with new senior housing options in Pleasanton at Stoneridge Creek, the final phase of the expansion adds two flexible dining venues, including a café, as well as a pavilion with extended dining space. Other new exterior features include a heated lagoon-style pool, pickleball court, rose garden, a second dog park, croquet court, and a creek with a waterfall feature.

“This addition to the community, combined with the earlier phases, provides a full spectrum of amenities and options for active older adults seeking a vibrant lifestyle,” said Griffin. “Stoneridge Creek brings together all the elements to maximize independence and provide life-enriching services and wellness for seniors living in the Bay Area.”

The final project is projected to be completed in spring 2018.
