Stoneridge Creek Residents Enjoy July 4 Celebration

The Stoneridge Creek community was sporting red, white and blue as they celebrated Independence Day like never before. Residents spent the afternoon cruising around the campus in a parade showcasing their decked-out cars, golf carts and scooters while wearing masks and keeping social distance.

Stoneridge Creek’s Life Enrichment Director Susan Filice spent three months planning the July 4 bash. She said this event aimed to connect residents with one another, which is an important benefit (https://www.stoneridgecreek.com/benefits/) of living at a Life Plan community like Stoneridge Creek.

“It’s so important that residents feel like they’re a part of the Stoneridge Creek community,” said Filice. “This was a great event for everyone to get involved and see their neighbors, while staying safe.”

Along with the parade, residents enjoyed music from the Just Dave Band. The group’s set was setup on the back of a truck and drove around campus so everyone could enjoy the live music.

“It was wonderful to see our neighbors coming together again to celebrate this special holiday,” said Filice.
