Love was in the air this past Valentine’s Day for residents of Stoneridge Creek. The community celebrated the lovers’ holiday with flower grams. Residents wrote love letters to their secret admirers or notes of well-wishes to their friends and neighbors. Each letter was attached to one of 800 carnations the community received from Mt. Eden Floral Company.
“We have learned through COVID that the little things are so important,” said Susan Filice, life enrichment director at Stoneridge Creek. “Our team has worked so hard to keep residents engaged and their spirits high. We’re all here to support each other and the flower grams are a perfect example of that.”
On February 11, volunteers spent hours tying the notes to the carnations, and on Friday, February 12, “cupid’s crew” delivered the flower grams to the 800 Stoneridge Creek residents.
