Stoneridge Creek senior living community residents and team members are getting into the holiday spirit this year as they donate hundreds of new winter items to Shepherd’s Gate in Livermore. For the past month, the Pleasanton community has been decorating a tree with gloves, scarves, and blankets. They named it “The Giving Tree.”
These items were later donated to Shepherd’s Gate, which provides shelter for women and children trying to escape cycles of addiction, homelessness, and abuse.
“Our residents have always had a commitment to giving back to the Greater Bay Area community,” said Life Enrichment Director Susan Filice. “It means a great deal to us to give back to those who’ve truly been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope these gifts bring a smile to the faces of those who receive them on Christmas Day. The Giving Tree has brought us so much joy here at Stoneridge Creek.”
Along with The Giving Tree, residents also donated more than $1,000 to Kids Against Hunger in the Bay Area.
